Default Si cluster into an Ek

Purchased a 99-00 si cluster for my 99 ek but am wondering about this green connector. All other connectors plug in perfectly but the top right green connector doesn't fit onto my si cluster, or is it suppose to? When I unplugged my ek cluster out, there was a white cover along with a green connector plug that plugged into the green connector perfectly which I don't know what's that for, since I haven't unplugged my cluster before only my friend did. Will someone tell me what's that green connector for and do I need to connect it? As of now, that connector isn't plugged anywhere because there are no plugs for it. My civic is auto though. If you need a picture of what I'm trying to say here is a video I found that shows it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C25aB2m9C8w

On the back side of the cluster, my ek cluster has a white cover on the far left side along with a green connector part. The si cluster doesn't which concerns me if I need to get one or leave that alone if I don't need that plugged in.

There are only 3 harnesses that you need to plug in. should work with no issues.

The green connector is for cruise control. You don't need to plug it in if you don't have cruise.

I'm about to try and find an si cluster for my 99' DX but my DX cluster doesn't have an RPM gauge on the left or the gas/temp combo gauge (only gas) on the right... how is that going to work?

It will still work. That's why people do that swap, to get a tach and a nicer looking cluster at that. I put an SI gauge into my '98 CX before which stock had no tach. Just plug in the 3 harnesses, it's really that easy.

Word! But, I was looking on ebay... whole assemblies are for sale for well over $200 bucks or just the panel for around $50...? Which one is the better choice?
