Default Should I upgrade the exaust?

I don't have enough cash right now to get a descent exaust system (Buddy Club s. II, Apex-i, GREDDY),
So I was thinking of getting a muffler shop to make me a smooth compression bent exaust pipe to replay my stock CX pipe.

I was wondering if it would yield any noticable gains in HP or Tq.
Im not shure if it will or wont.

does anyone know?

It would maybe have a little bit of gain on the BUTT dyno...but it wouldn't help ALOT.

Better then nothing though, so go for it.

Save the money and patiently wait. It'll be worth the time and money saved.

you probably will lose torque. And you most definitely be wishing you had just saved up a little more and gotten a quality exhaust that will last...

I want to make sure we are on the same page.... Are you talking about straight(race) pipe??? If so then mia is partially right you will lose some torque, but you high end will be better. Youll gain some Hp's. No reason, why a quality custom mandrel bent straight pipe cant hold up. There's nothing wrong with custom exhaust systems.

DO you want to run a cat or resonator with your piping??

Seriously, just wait it out till you have the cash. I just picked up a Trust Muffler for my friend's car for $60 shipped. Search the boards, I searched this one, Honda-Acura, Clubsi, and D-Series.

I don't want to run a cat...but I think I will have a test pipe made so I will be able to put in a cator a resonator so I can have someting maybe a little quieter. I think I will just get some rotas (c10 white) and azenis instead. Still have to save.

But I may get the exaust.

What are some good exausts for around 400-500?
I would really like to have a BC spec III but 600 is a lot!

If I can find a shop that makes mandrel bends I think that would be my best bet for now.

My summer job awaits!

10 days of school left.........w00t

wait, am I to understand that you have 4-500 available now? If that's true, then brotha, you are richer than me. Damn, I wish I could call that too little. For 4-500, you can get a very decent cat-back exhaust system. You say 600 is alot, crap, I say anything over 100 is alot.
