I'm had a question about the B&M precision short shifter. It has an aluminum pivot housing with no sort of dust cover protecting the bottom from rain, salt, all that good stuff. Wouldn't that ruin the spherical bearing and deteriorate any of the lube it has. Is it something I'm gonna have to constantly reapply lubricant to?

No need to transfer the rubber boot over the pivot ball? Just throw it in as is?

no sorry . i meant use the oem stuff on it. using the pivot cup and stuff. jus swap out the oem rod shaft

This particular short shifter has a aluminum pivot housing though. I don't believe the oem pivot cup can go around the pivot ball with that. Also not sure if i can use the oem metal collar. Just trying to understand if i remove all the oem parts and throw in the shifter as is.
