cutting oem shifter for shorter throw? anyone did it?
i got an gsr oem shifter on my Eg. the thread snapped.
i got the oem single bend civic shifter on the side. if i cut and thread it will it make it like a short shifter? im planning on doing it because of insufficient funds, right now i have duck tape and a shifter on it?
is cutting the oem shifter worthit? will it make it shorter shifts, how hard is it to cut and retap threads?

you might have some trouble with cutting down the shifter I think that the shaft is tapers out after the threaded area. I think that is going to make tapping it to the right size hard

it will not make the throw shorter, the length between the "ball" of the shifter and where it connects to the shift linkage change how long or short the throw is.
