Shock help
Hey I just bought shocks off of a integra and was wondering what mods would need to be done to put them on my 97 coupe. I already kno I need to put washers inbetween the rear LCA and the shock fork but does any one know what size washer the inner diameter size for the bolt and how think it needs to be or if I need more then one. thanks alot to anybody that helps me just need some info. I searched and only thing that came up was sayin it needed washers but no size info.

Re: Shock help (Negative3Five)
Spacing your bushings out with washers is unsafe at best. Once you torque those bolts down, those washers compress. With constant horizontal loading, over time, those washers will compress further. This will allow the weight of the car to be carried directly on the bolt. Without ALL of the energy being transfered from the LCA directly to the dampner, the bolt will flex and eventually break.
I would only use those shocks for a temporary fix...
