Default Serious B18C1 STARTING PROBLEM. NEW STARTER ALSO

Ok so ive had my eg hatch with a B18c1 swap for a while now and i parked my car at a friends house today and all of sudden it does not start. I have never had this problem before. I checked all the basic things battery, fuses, loose wires, ecu, alternator almost everything. So i end up replacing the starter but its not that either i even had the old one tested and still didnt work. My car still runs perfect no problems if i pop start it. Just does not start by itself with no crank please someone help me out.

does the solenoid on the starter kick out when you turn the key to the start position?

check your fuses.

check for loose battery cables, or ground straps.

It doesnt do anything and its a brand new starter that was checked and the old one was perfectly fine also. I checked every fuse 3 times and all grounds are fine.

based on what you've said, the ignition switch would be my guess as to what failed.

possible also...

Its kind of hard to guess at what it could be. You need to go do some proper troubleshooting.

check for power @ the small solenoid wire on the starter with the key in the start position. If no power is found, then check the starter signal fuse. If fuse is OK, then remove steering column covers and check for power going into and out of ignintion switch while in start position. Report back when your results.

You will need a multimeter or test light and a wiring diagram for your car.
