Default sensor question !!!

had just installed a new header and the lower o2 sensor port was farther down so i had to fab the sensor to fit ie making it longer and soldering it together but i just ran into a huge problem lol it does not fit in the port!!!!!! wtf can i do with it?????
and help would be apprecieated also do you happen to know if i could buy like a 3 ft sensor or is that out of the question?????
and if i ran my car with only the top sensor would that create problems???????

it wouldnt be that bad. you could put a bolt in the o2 bung. and take it to a shop and hav them weld a new bung..that fits your o2 sensor. cut the wires on the o2 sensor will make it prolly not work as good. they have some weird electro shell stuff in the wires.

thing is i HAD to cut the wires for the o2 sensor to fit cause when i install the header the sensor plug was farther down under the engine as opposed to right by the front of the engine with the stock header!

i wish i could plug it in but the sensor does not fit into the lower part of the header........ so back to my question will it cause problems if i run it without the lower sensor i was told that is only to tell me if im emmiting bad fuels but does it regulate anything or is that only the top sensor??
