Default Senior project hatch!

well if yall know what a senior project is this isnt the only gay county that does it. anyways.... i just bought my friends full d17a2 swap out of his 2004 civic. i plan on going to a junk yard or salvage yard and buying a shell of a hatch sometime next week. i am going to fully build the motor and turbo it before the summer is over.

questions:
should i build the motor up while it is sitting on the engine rack before i put it in?
what should i do first to the hatch. motor and turbo stuff the the body or???
anything else will help!
and will this motor fit in like a 98 hatch or something. im wanting to do sort of a drag civic. i got me a everyday civic... so im striping this interior and **** and taking out PS A/c and all that other stuff to make it light as possible. so what year cars will this motor fit in?

o yes i do have a mentor to help me with anything i need so wiring and **** isnt a problem i just dont know where to start when i do this kind of stuff.

thx for the help

you will probly have to use custom mounts...I think that 00 is the last of the totally compatible d-series

Yeah I don't think those bolt right into any 92-00 civics.

Do whatever floats your boat. Sounds like you'll need both done anyway. I'd do bodywork last I guess...

Though if you get the motor in and running you'll be tempted to drive around and ugly piece.

Do the body/susp. first.
