ok i think that my sending unit on my hatch is stuck on empty cuz the car has sat a long time with no fuel in it. I was told i could just giggle the sending unit to break it loose. I also heard thats its real sensitive and easy to break? Whats the best way to take it out and loosen it?

 

Sending unit is an electrical component and is not the same thing as the float, which could get stuck.

 

is the floater hooked with the fuel pump?
