Sedan lovers speak out.....everyone is still welcome
Good bye Accord. I hate it. I can't stand it. Working on it is a joke compared to a Civic. Civic here I come once again.
Looking to spend around $5k. It doesn't have to be perfect. I'll fix.
Requirements are; PDL, AC, AT
92-95 (has to be an EX)
+ Rear disc brakes
+ Nice 1.6
+ OBD1
- Getting really old
96-98 (at least an LX)
+ Nice 1.6 / V-TEC or not
+ Easy to locate
- Drums in the rear
This is going to be my wife's car. She wants a 03, but way out of price range. For now these are the options and she wants whats newer. I want the older based for specific features. Maintenance is near the same. Conversions for other Civics/Integras is near the same.
What are some of your positives and negatives towards each?
Do you prefer OBD1 or OBD2A system?
Cost of repairs cheaper on either?
Parts getting harder to find for the older model?

since it's for the wife get the 96-98, for the sake that you could find one with less miles and in better shape. you could still find older ones in good shape but, those look better to me. hey you could always slap on a front end conversion with some nice wheels and foggies and ride out. parts are still pretty much the same to find either ways.

Of course the EK is bigger, but how much....for leg room and head room in the back? The space in my CB sucks. I have found a 95 that could be in works of buying from the original owner.
