I have spent hours trying to hook this thing up in my 97 dx hatch. I have the y8 mini me and the ex ecu. I found three of the wires on the ecu schematic, but I can't find the 4th one. I tried alot of different grounds and none of them keep the engine light off. The engine light is off when the car is off (when the computer is first reset), and then, after about 30 seconds the light comes back on! HELP ME PLEASE!!

Is the secondary O2 in the cat? Or do you have it somewhere else?

Your hatch is already wired for a 2nd O2 and the Dx and Ex (96-98) share the same ECU pinouts for this sensor....so what are you trying to wire up?

The 4th wire you're trying to locate is probably the switched +12v that feeds the heater element....which does not come from the ECU.

This same Yel/Blk wire feeds +12v to: Primary/Secondary O2, EVAP Purge solenoid, EVAP Control Canister Shut valve, EVAP Bypass solenoid, ELD and the gauge assembly (according to Helms ETM 61S0305EL).

if you have a dx hatch, y8 mini me, and an ex ecu... you should be wiring to add v-tec...check Bauley Civic's mini-me thread for info on wiring v-tec after a mini-me... if you're talking about the o2.... converting a 3-wire o2 to 4-wire o2 you should search H-T. I'm not 100% sure on how to do that but i know i've seen it before... i think you should further elaborate about what the problem is...

Have you checked the CEL?

Is it for the v-tec solenoid?

Or is it for the Secondary o2?

Sorry, I haven't been on in a while. The answer to my question is answered above. I just needed to know the heated 12v wire from the purge valve. Since I have gotten 3 replies all saying this wire I will try it this weekend.

Vtec is already wired up. That was taken care of when I replaced the dx harness with the ex.
