Has anyone had any luck hooking a Snap-on MT2500 or similar tool to the Diagnostic port on a 92-95 Civic. I am pretty sure it hooks to the SCS connector on the passenger side under hte glovebox where the ECU is, but want confirmation on whether or not it is possible. Thanks in advance

not possible. scan tools are for obd2a/b vehicles. nothing pre-96.

you have to jump the service conector plugged into a green plug by the ecu with a paper clip it will flash ur codes

some pre 96 vehicles (not honda/acura that I know of) do have diagnostic ports. Ford is one of them for sure.

Some 95 domestic models have them.

But in this case No Honda i know of will work with a scan tool until 1996 model.
as stated, jump the service connector with a paper clip and Count the flashes on the check engine light

Interesting I suppose. I wonder how the service techs could see what was going on with the ECU. I dont have a CEL on, just was wondering if could see what the ECU was thinking.
