Default Saving life of hood

does honda sell like those plastic or cotton(watever it is) cover that goes under the hood. U know like wat the trucks have. i was curious as it if it saves the life of ur paint on the hood thanks

no. talking about the padding under the hood. the bra would be for driving on the highway stoping bugs from getting on the front end

no i think he means the flame resistant material that attaches to the underneath of the hood so the heat transfer doesn't wreck the paint. My vette has it, it's weird looking stuff.

If you're really concerned, you can try something like the products offered here: http://www.heatshieldproducts.com

If you have an aftermarket header, you can also have that coated to cut down on underhood temperatures.

However, most paint damage is caused by the elements, so proper maintenance and care of the finish will go a long way towards prolonging its life.

DEI exhaust tunnel shield.

less than 1/8 thick. Comes 20 X 21" for around $25.00. Self Adhesive, ITS VERY STICKY!!!!!

I used this on the underside of my hood. Works perfectly. Been on there for about a year now, no signs of it ever coming off!!

I can put my hand on the topside of hood after a hard pull right above my ramhorn mani/turbo.
