Nitrous can be safe as long as it's used and installed properly.

not true...
'safe' is completely contingent upon the motor and the amount you will be spraying...dont listen to people like this. If you do it RIGHT, its all good...

Nitrous newbies think it's death to a motor, but in reality it's not really much more dangerous than a turbo setup. n00bs with turbo can crank up the boost a little too much, and n00bs with nitrous can spray a little too much. Either way, your fawked.

Why are people so fearful of nitrous? I ran a 50 shot in my Accord for 40k miles w/ no problems. I installed it when it had 183k miles.
The only scary incident I had was when I pushed it too long, letting it get too lean and it detonated, blowing my k&n off the stick. But usually, you can tell when it's starting to get lean. The car will start to hesistate a little and at that point, just let off the nitrous so the air/fuel/N2O can even out again.
I must say it was fun having a full bottle but it sucks having to refill it since each refill costs $35. I easily went through a bottle in a week and sometimes, in a matter of days.
Just be safe and dont over do it.

its all in the user and installer, If you run it 24hrs a day seven days a week 3 bottles a week you are going to hurt some thaang.
I have ran a 40 and a 60 for over 30k more than regular. No problems yet, no boom!!! Just remember most people who blow their stuff up was
1. they forget to put in the pill
2. They put in a 100000000 shot (too much)
3. spray before the engine is at operating temp
4. forget to retard the timing
Just run good fuel, bump back the timing, get a set of colder plugs maybe some -6's. good luck, keep us posted.

research before you do someting like this. Make sure you know EXACTLY what you will need to run a nitrous setup safe and exactly how much you can spray without hurting something with your setup. Make sure you have a proper form of fuel managment, research and it should be all gravy .
