Default RUSTED BREMBO ROTORS!

ok so I installed these on my 99 civic ex a couple months ago. First month I had them it rained! Soon after noticed they had rusted but only noticeable when not rotors aren't hot. Its starting to bother me and just wondering if I could do anything about it. I know there is a zinc coat that my friends have on their cheap ebay ones and they're not rusted. So can I spray it with something and add the zinc coat? or are these Brembo rotors done?

Go for a drive and the rust will be gone! LOL My old Brembos (both the slotted and drilled & the blanks) rusted a tad bit even after washing the car. No biggie...just go for a drive if you wish.

Its rusted in the center. The drilled slotted part isn't as bad. If i turn them will it get that center part or just the drilled area. Also wouldn't it reduce the life of my rotors because it'll reduce the thickness?

Steel rusts. No big deal.

Get some high heat paint and paint the whole rotor. The pads will shave off the paint where they need to and the paint will stay where it needs to. That's how I roll. I dont like rust anywhere.

Would it perhaps he safer (for the pads) to mask off where you don't want the paint?

Eran recently used a wire cut brush on the center of the rotor. It made it all shiny, though I'm sure by now they're not anymore. Anytime it rains or I wash the cars, they rust again. Then I go for a drive... and they're good. Then it rains or I wash the car, and they rust.

And so on and so forth.

yeah screw rust...I was thinking about painting them but I called this shop who zinc coats rotors for $10 each. They take the rust off and put the zinc coat on them. So I'm doing that, unless someone else can convince me otherwise.

All rotors rust. If you bought new rotors, the rust will be bright at first and start to darken after a while.

ya get the high temp and paint it. if you go into a welding shop and ask for a wire brush. one without a chipping hammer attachment, it is stiffer than most others. it's actually made to take rust/slag away from metal/welds.

then pask of the face of the rotor and do a good paint job, id go with silver
