Running without o2 sensor?
I know that this is needed to operate correctly, I was just wondering how rough the car will run without it.. I have started my car, but the o2 was missing. I need to get it to dmv soon, and i have a free 02 sensor in 2 weeks, but if i buy one there like 105.00? soo, what do you guys think?

It runs rougher at transition from idle to throttle... the idle's a little rougher and it doesn't adapt to well on the fly...
I ran my car with no O2 for over 6mo.... it did fine... I had changed the header so it ran better than it did before... but once I got the O2 sensor in the car smoothed out tremendously...
It didn't run super rich like A LOT of people SWEAR it will... I check my milage everytime I fill it up and there was NO notable difference...
it does make it run smoother though... that's about it.
I'd wait for the free one unless it NEEDS to be inspected prior to that.

What year and model... if it's a dual O2 model WHICH O2 is out...
Like I said... I ran mine for a LONG time with no O2 and it ran just fine... not perfect but it ran fine... when you're on the throttle there's almost NO difference at all with or without...
Describe your poor running or lack of power better and people may be able to help you more.
