need help removing rear lca bushing
the rear lca bolt snapped when i was putting in new springs
so the bolt was seized in side and the head snapped off....i pulled out the whole lca/ shock as one....after a while of cursing and drilling i got the lca seprate form the shock... now i need help getting the bushing out of the lca...i tried heating it up with a propane torch, then i tried heating it up then smacking it with a hammer, then i tried throwing a hissy fit and started crying , but nothing worked
this is my first time doing anything with the suspension
please help
thanks

Re: need help removing rear lca bushing (VX)
thanks alot
that site tottally cleared things up
ive decided that im gonna wait till morning, try to knock out that bolt with the air hammer then follow the steps on the site
thnaks
btw, i woulda used the air tools form the beginning but it was getting late and my brother was getting pissed because the fuse kept blowing. any reasons why i might be blowing fuses? im using only the compressor and a normal light bulb(60w or so) on that circuit*sp.

Re: need help removing rear lca bushing (mattharper)
My tips!!!
I used a VISEGRIP to twist the rusted sleeve out of the lca bushing (you may need to melted the old bushing w/ a propane torch first), and when the sleeve came off.. I ripped some of the bushing rubber out with propane-torch and knife/saw!!.. then came the final metal ring I saw it with a SAWZALL(easier)!! When the ring broke through I use a sharpe FLAT screwdriver to knock the ring off the hole!!
Note::: if you dont have room on the rusty sleeve for the visegrip to hold on to,...you may need to melt the bushing with a propane torch and knock or push the sleeve out so you will have room for the visegrip!! I cut my rusty sleeve/screw with enough room for the visegrip ...so I didnt have to knock it out for room!!
