Default running p28 on a y8 engine?

is anyone running a p28 on y8 engine. I need to break into my new engine with a stock ecu before i start boosting and since i dont have a p2p or a p28 handy i thought i might just buy a p28. Or should/can i just use the p06 ecu for break in?

I swapped a 98 y8 motor into my frenz 93 hatch. I switched the intake manifold to a d16z6 tho(jus for the sake of making things easier in this situation) n e way, that's what i ran in his car, a p28. you can do it too, just get a jumper harness ob2 - obd1, n u will be on the road in no time. po6 will work, but, u won't have vtec. gud luk. hope that helped.
