Re: Rod through the block (galloway36)
rod through the block.......... umm new engine, or new block atleast, i mean from my knowledge you cant just putty the block up or anything, there isnt anyway to patch it and hold compression. I threw a rod in my d16, figured it was a great opportunity to swap the engine, but i had planned on swapping anyway. I guess you could take the engine out and get a new block and replace the rod/piston if necessary and throw the old internals and head into onto the new block........ but for a ll the work, I would just look for a new engine or a new car

Man U FTW
As everyone has said, that block is toast. The only way to "fix" it is to swap a new block in. Depending on your location, i have a GSR block for sale and a set of Eagle Rods and Arias pistons
