RIP D15B7 - Pics Inside
So.. My friend bought his hatch with this in it, ripped it out and just finished his H Swap.
He gave me the block to figure out why there was a golfball sized hole in the block.
This is what I found: (warning pictures may contain graphic material, that could happen to your engine at any time)
and....
resulting in....
Finally...
Sorry for the crappy pictures, and if you don't like it sorry. I was just bored and figured I would share this carnage with others
Jerod
Edit: Btw, notice #4 there is no Rod on the crank, this is EXACTLY what I found when I pulled the pan. #4 rod literally came COMPLETELY off the crank.. Good times, great ****!

Yes I thought it was interesting. I think around 220k. It had Rotella 75/90w in it for like 2k miles.... and burnt a quart every 100.... hahahaha
Anyway my 400k mile D15b7 that ran 3k with no radiator never so much as missed a beat, until the head warped so bad it turned into a 50/50 internal/external combustion engine.
