right time to shift

Default right time to shift

when do ctr cams peak power at? i know that the only true way is to dyno but every where around me is booked for three weeks and i am installing a ctr cams, toda cam gears, and supertech valve springs and retainers in a couple days and planning on racing on the third of august. i just wanted to have an idea of the right time to shift.

IMO, you should really be able to feel when you lose power. Often times it's right around the redline. For most normal people shifting just before the redline is plenty good enough and for your daily will keep it in healthier condition.

It's not like your angling to gain that extra .05 seconds making it to the next stop light.
