Default reseting the ECU?

How do you reset a ECU in a 95 civic?...I heard you can gain 5+hp after doing so...is this true? and is it a good Idea?..if so, does anyone know how?..please help..thank you

well you can pull the ecu fuse for like 5 minutes or just unplug the negative terminal on the battery. As for gaining 5 hp....not likely. But resetting the ecu should be common practice after performing any performance mod to your car.

lmfao, yeah i doubt youd gain hp by doing this.

all you do, as said before is unplug the plug for at least 5 mins. id say go eat dinner or seomthing and then plug it back it just to be sure.
