Replacing your front LCA on a 99 Civic Si?????
Could anybody walk me through on this process. I hit a curb and bent my lca. The local alignment shop said the will fix it for 110 buck bending it back in place but I dont want to do that Id rather get a new one and get a alignment. Any help would help. HA

Get it on some jack stands, take off the wheel and see if you understand where you should start at. It shouldn't be that hard other than taking things off and then puting back together again, just make sure you tighten everything up good when putting back together and maybe use some lock-tite.

it's pretty easy. you'll need a 17 mm socket and possibly an extension to get into those hard to reach places. a breaker bar will come in handy.

an impact gun would be helpful, but it's not necessary
when removing the lca you might run into the problem of having the bolts freeze up on you. When you replace the bolts use anti-seize on the bolts before you put them back in
It's pretty simple though, bolt from lca to subframe, bolt for sway bar endlink, and bolt to strut

its the best way to get the lower ball joint off... some people just beat it with a mallet, others use pickle forks. if you have one, or can rent one for free, the ball joint puller is the easiest way to get the lower joint out
