replacing eg civic doors
how hard is it to replace the whole door off a civic ex coupe? My door has alot of dings so instead of fixing them i think it would be alot easier to replace the door shell...is there a DIY?

Re: replacing eg civic doors
by door shell do you mean the entire door or just a door skin??? The whole door is 4 bolts, a pin, and a plug... door skin on the other hand is a PITA and unless you're good at welding and fab, just find a new door...

If the door is beyond repair or not worth fixing, a new (used) door would be much easier. Just make sure that the power door lock module, window motor and door harness of the replacement door is in good working order.

Unless someone modified it, the doors have a seperate harness on the inside, it disconnects at the door jamb. So if you're getting non-power doors from a CX/DX or LX coupe then you have to phyiscally transfer the harness and all the power goodies over and then reconnect them.
