Will a 95 complete ac system fit a 92?
OK, so the car had the ac ditched. I'm looking to put it back in. Will a 95 system fit a 92DX? How much will a shop charge me to put it, will they have to retrofit even though it's already a r134a?

well if it allready had ac it shouldnt be that hard to put it back in your self i would say the hardest part will be finding everything you need. then youll have to take it to a shop to get it charged.

incorrect. it is possible your car uses r12 freon.
94 and up cars use r134 freon that i know of. the compressors might be different. and in that case, u would have to buy a r12 compressor fitted for ur car. r12 is going to be extinct soon so it might be a good idea to retromod and get the a/c shop to convert ur a/c system to run r134a
good idea to get a new drier when u re-do a/c

i would imagine that it would be VERY expensive. INstalling AC systems are not easy. Plus charging them up and making sure they work correctly. I hate people that dump freon into the ozone layer. best of luck with the replacement though.

So long as you're replacing everything you can. AC has really been one of the only things I don't have the tools or equipment for. But 99% says you can swap out systems no problem. I don't know any shops that won't use their own or new parts for this though. I think you would be fine if you were pulling and installing everything yourself then going to have the system charged but I don't think it's as easy as just saying that. I'm sure it's much more involved.

yes im pretty positive your system is a r12 freon a/c system...but just use all the civic a/c stuff that is r134a....94/95 civics..put it all in, and goto the shop and tell them it was r12 but now u want it switched to r134a....they will run a vacuum off one of ur lines and convert it...dont know cost
