i tried to search but couldn't find the info i wanted.

My EG bumper right now was spray painted form the previous owner and i was wondering what materials i need and how much is going to cost me to do it myself...also where can i get the matching white paint? i know it wont blend correctly but i want to get it as close as possible because i dont feel like blowing 150 dollars just to repaint a bumper. thanks

As far as getting matching paint, around my area theres a place called wesco that puts factory paint into rattle cans. Usually comes out pretty damn close to the color on your car. All you have to do is give them your paint code of the door jam of your car. Im pretty sure you can find some kind of store in the area that does the same thing. Try looking through the body repair section of the phone book. Wesco sold my friend 5 large cans for 100 bucks.

My front bumper has better paint then the rest of my car. As long as you have painting skills, you wont have any problems. Ive made model cars for a good portion of my life so I know how to lay down a good coat of paint.

Tri City automotive paint can put the paint in a can for you. There located in Mira Mar. They use PPG. make sure You get a clear coat also.

From experience - make sure you mask everything you don't want to paint (or take your bumper cover off) or you will end up having to clean paint off of your headlights - on me!!

Good Luck - it should come out good if you take your time!!!

Best thing to do before prepping or painting would be to take it off the car first! Its just common sense. Unless your the type to rush and get paint in uncessarry places.
