Removing tint??????///

Re: Removing tint??????/// (si_motor_spt)
Dont need a heat gun. Get some plastic wrap(the one you use for food and stuff) spray the window you want to remove your tint on with water and apply the plastic wrap onto it. Does this during the day when it gets hot and let the sun do all the work. After awhile you should see you tint peel off.

correct way!!! specially for the back glass because of the defrost lines.
other than that just use a razor blade. and try peeling everything off in one peice

I've never had luck with this stuff coming off in one piece. Usually tint shops will charge about $50 to do this for you. Well worth it IMO. Especially the back window.

plus one with the razor blade. buy the straight blades that come with the little plastic handle that holds the blade- it takes some pressure off of your finger tips.
good luck.
good luck.

thats the way we do it at work.... or you can put a black plastic garbage bag over the back window and let the sun heat it up
but remember....DO NOT use a razorblade on the back window it will take the defroster off with it

They Autozone or Kragen/Cheackers sell a tint removal kit. It work great and it was 8 bucks. Just throwing another option.

Exactly!! that's what i'm saying, spray water on the tint put a plastic bag over it and tape it up. Let the sun do all the work and then peel it off after. That's how some places do it.

Use the trash bag idea like everyone is saying.
1) Spray outside window with window cleaner
2) Tape up a trash bag over window on outside
3) Let it sit there in sun for 20 minutes
4) Go inside and and spray with cleaner then pick at outer edge of tint with a razor. It should peel off in one piece.
5) Grab a old t-shirt and saturate it with goo-gone. Rub the **** out of the leftover glue until it comes off
6) Clean off with a quality window cleaner.
7) Do the same to all the windows including rear window
8) Drink a beer
I did this to my eh3 and it came out pissaa.

Re: Removing tint??????/// (SoHc Ej1)
Best way to do it is let the car sit to hottest part of the day...If its on back window peel it off and 9 times out of 10 all the glue will come off with the tint...try this with all windows...it not I always use razorblade and some window cleaner..It works wonders...
