removing the bumper
I was going to remove my bumper to do some work, but one of my screws just won't budge. It looks like it's about stripped. What can I do to get it off? It is one of the screws on top of the bumper just in front of the hood latch.
BTW how can I get pics up for tech related threads?

It isn't completely stripped. You can put in a screwdriver and try to turn it. If you try too hard it slips out. I just don't want to strip it even more.

if its on top of the bumper and right by the hood latch, then it should be the black plastic screws right? well, you should just get a flat head driver and should be able to just pop it out no problem.

Boy do I feel stupid. I forgot they were plastic until you guys posted. Thanks, I'll pop them off and get a new one.

Plastic screws?! No! They're black metal screws that secure the bumper with a long metal plate in between. There's about 5 of them. I had the same problem on my integra. You should have used a bit or a screwdriver with tha fatest head so it would have never slipped in the first place. If any screwdriver is hopeless, there's a tool(s) you can use to unscrew it. Careful when you drill a hole in the center though. But the tool you need to use is a screw extractor. It's like a reverse drill, sorta. After drilling a tiny hole in the center of the head of screw, stick the extractor tool into the hole and unscrew in a counter-clockwise motion.

None of that is even necessary, just use a vice grip as mentioned earlier. The head of the screw sits high enough that it can be grabbed, and unscrewed.

Yeah, it's true that if it sits high enough, you can hopefully grab it with like a vice grip. But for later use, this extractor tool is good to have. They even have the ones that grab around the outside of the head. It wont eat the head up like a vice grip would do if it slips.
