Default Removed spark plugs and found Oil

i am at a buddys house and he picked upa 4 door civic for 100 bucks, ad i removed the spark plugs and found oil in the 3rd cylider, and the oil i the motor is very dark red, i was curious if this could be

He replaced the :
spark pugs,
valve cover gasket kit,
oil change,
oil filter,

Turn the key to the on Position, We can hear the fuel pump turn on, then once just cranks, and nothing, just Ying Ying Ying Ying,

the cd player works,

Sounds like your O rings. I would try replacing those first.

change the spark plug tube seals, the gasket for #3 is probably bad.

i think we are gonna change the spark plug seals ,wire,oil ,wires andplugs ad see if that works

we replaced, the valve cover gasket,spark plug seals,cap,rotor,oil,oil filter,wires,spark plugs, And nothing happened..lol

im thinking the rings are bad, the motor gets fuel, and turns over, but wont start, its been awhile since ive worked on honda's since i am into lifted trucks and rock crawlin now..lol

Might just do a compression tomarrow when i find my gauge,

Check the compression and do a leakdown test. Its bad when oil can get in there when just trying to turn the car over.
