Remove Heatshields?
Is it safe to remove the numerous heat shields that are on the underbody of our cars that always seem to rattle? I know Honda must have put them there for a reason, but will anything really happen if I remove them? I know of one at one of the 90 degree bends that seems to always rattle, and just recently the one over my muffler has started to rattle too.

numerous people have done it without any bad results. like the car burning down or something. they mainly help keep the heat off the cabin.

You may want to check the heatshield(s) under the car for rocks. One of the heatshields under my old car had a rattle all the time and it turned out that a few small rocks were between the exhaust and the heatshield.
