regulator spraying fuel with fuel return line out?
Hi, I have an aftermarket aem fuel pressure regulator. When I turn the key for the first click (when I hear the fuel pump) there are fuel spraying out from the regulator when I had the fuel return line pulled out. Is this normal? I asked in another post that my I'm losing pressure from 40 to 0psi in 20-30minutes after I shut my car down.

Yes, that would be normal. A return line is just that; it RETURNS fuel that is not needed to the fuel tank. SO, if you have the fuel return line pulled off, the fuel will still come out. Instead of going to the tank, it will go all over your engine compartment. This is handy if you want to burn your car to the ground. Otherwise, hook the return line back up and enjoy a non-crispy car.

WOW!! This is a commen since thing, if u don't know what u r doing don't do it without supervision. Come on ppl for real..! If u r doing things for the first time and u luv cars and want to learn, get someone who is knowledgable to help the first couple of times. I read stuff like this on this forum all the time, it's rediculous.
