Redneck 101 rebuild update.........
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=262374
15.09 @ 90 mph on puny 175/50/13's!
2.3x 60 foot.
Had all my slicks loaned out so I had to run street tires.
Next step is slicks and hope for a 14.7x, then bigger injectors and go for 12's on the juice.
And it will!!!!

Mista, what does your car weigh in at? Still using the "no-back bumper" trick @ the track?
I'm about to go no bumpers at the track

DId the y8 pistons and rods up the compression ratio or something? that is hella fast for them skinnys
Jeremy .....all about the SOHC "Power"

correct Jeremy...........
The compression ratio MAY have went up .1, but that would be about it.
No changes in the tuning, just what I always had it set at.
45 psi and 19 BTDC.
I guess car weight was about 2050-2100 + driver. I did leave the passenger seat in this time.
Also, I don't own a rear bumper cover. It blew out of my pickup a few years ago (long story) and a 18 wheeler found it before me. The only downside is now the bumper bar is about rusted in 2, although you can't see it.

you gotta love the sohc power...everybody says swap to this, swap to that...why when you can have so much more fun (and save a hell of a lot of money) playing with a sohc engine...now that is some honda fun...

saw 3 5g HB's with swaps, best they could muster was 14.8x.........

I like being the underdog. You get no attention till you WAX *** on the big dogs.

question... how much DO those wee tires effect gearing. I see you cut a 2.3 which is totally rad considering the 5 inches of tread(what PSI were they)

Re: Redneck 101 rebuild update......... (Mista Bone)
sounds nice...since i cannot run slicks at the local track on street night i might invest in some suimtumo* 175/50/13 for the steal wheels.. Could help quite a bit bc i seem to lose a lot of power in 3rd and 4th with the sock. Thanks
