i have a ls/vtec in a ek hatch. i will be running a 2.5" TRI-Y header w/ a spoon muffler. i don't know anything about piping, cat, resonators, etc.. what do u guys recommend that's somewhat quiet and won't get any attention from the cops.. yet, w/o losing power??

Apex'i world sport. JDM ITR cat. Quiet, doesn't smell, sounds awesome, and still retains good power.

Twin loop w/good resonator. Does well for me, it's nice and quiet, and gives a nice sporty sound with the throttle.

You could also look though the official exhaust thread for further information and sound clips. Link is in my sig.

I run a magnaflow on my 2.5" piping and it has a nice sound when accelerating and evens out during coasting :]

i know a guy who has a 93 civic vx hatch with a jdm gsr. im 95% sure he has the apexi world sport. it looks good....not too big, sounds awesome. you wont know it has an aftermarket exhaust till he hammers down the pedal. thats what most people want. so i would go with that.

Yeah, I switched to my twin-loop from my Apex'i N1 because I was getting WAY too much attention/mandatory ref visits for it. What I did for my uniqueness was I painted the entire canister/loop flat black, chopped off the big tip, and welded on one that's the exact size of the piping. Wouldn't know I really have a good exhaust, it sounds awesome, and it does more for my N/A setup than the N1 did, that's for sure.

Now, every time I get stopped for no reason, they don't ask me to pop the hood or send me to the ref, they just tell me they're giving me a ticket for my front plate, or my rear plate lights are a little dim on one side. Lesser of two evils I guess is harassment now.
