Rear speakers for 95 hatch
Hey guys how did you put your rear speakers in your DX hatchbacks? I want to get some for my sister for her B-day but she has no mounting brackets or anything...
TIA

The top model hatch (Si in Canada, I think it's the EX in US) has rear speaker grills and mounting brackets. Go to a wrecker...

Damn good price. Can't be that.
Also, it is the Si not the EX in the US.

I dont think is a good idea to put speakers there because they just dont sound right I have a 93 dx and it came with it as an option, which I disconnected. instead of using those stock loaction speakers, I cut two holes on the cargo cover and put 2 audiobahn 6X9s sound lot lot better and the bass is enought for me . the good thing is I still have a truck space without havent a huge box. maybe I will post some pic later

Re: Rear speakers for 95 hatch (CRX Si)
I think all USDM SI's have the rear side panel speakers. Every Canadian Hatch I've seen has it also. My Canadian DX has them.

Actually I dont see how you can get any kinda decent sound out of this set-up. Generally you want an airtight-ish fit for your speakers.
I just had a box made where my spare tire goes and mounted a 10 in sub inverted. Has really good sound.
On my 95 dx coupe I made a box that houses a 10 inch sub. Really its just one piece of mdf that partially covers the spare tire compartment(cut to fit) and another piece that encloses the rear part of the box. and I can still put the spare tire in there as well.
Thats actually a horrible description...sorry.

Re: (RangerDan)
There use to be speakers that worked real well for this kind of setup(no box) I believe it was kicker that made free air subs. You dont always need a box for sound, your trunk will kind of act like one.
