Rear seat delete
I have a 99 Si, I was curious, would it be possible to just do some quick "custom" rear seat delete that would still have a back that blocks the trunk. Maybe out of some MDF board or something? Then just put some black trunk carpet over it and have it look decent and clean? Maybe even throw some foam in between the board and carpet and attach the seatbelt latch so that someone COULD sit in the rear if it was necessary...kinda like a bench.

The seatbacks are pretty heavy. Close to 30 lbs if I remember correctly.

Re: Rear seat delete (breakneckvtec)
sounds like you just answered your own question...if you were to do it though,i'd use thin material, since i'm assuming the purpose is to reduce weight.if you want somebody to sit back there, put the seat back in,.

Re: Rear seat delete (TeamNextGenChris)
Actually, its because I dont want to deal with putting seats in the front that wont match the rears.....because it just looks off to me and since I never have anyone back there I want to take them out....but dont want my interior looking incomplete and torn apart either....

in that case you could find some matching carpet to cover where the seat bottom used to be(once you take out the seat bottom, there will be some exposed chassis visible),and use it on some kind of thin cover for the trunk opening where the seat back used to be.
