Rear passengers lower car. Springs Help
Wassup guys. Check it out. I have a problem putting 1-3 passengers in the rear of my 1992 honda civic hatchback. I got a set of 17's but wen i have passengers, when i turn, the tires hit the inside of my wheel wells in the back. I replaced my shocks w/ some kyb's but left my stock springs on. Do you think it could be that the springs are shot? I was thinking that i could buy a set of adjustable coilovers and leave it at stock height. Could you guys help me out maybe if you have a different approach for me? Any help will work because its annoying hearing this screeching sound when i hit a turn with passengers. Thanks.

No your springs arent shot, Putting 3 people in to the back of your car makes the load excleed well over 450-500 pounds assuming everyone is a vegiterian.
Since thats the normal weight of 3 average people that your car is trying to pull it will bring the back down quite significantly, and if you have 17's then you will rub for sure.
Get used to it or make them walk.

haha. thanks. Is there anyway to stop the sound, like cutting out the wheel well (even tho it is metal). Maybe weld da wheel wells a little higher. idk i dont wanna use up too much of my time. I think i'll take ur advice n make them walk, they aint that important.
What if i just wanted 2 change to coilovers, would the ride be a little better? i was also considering air ride. If i got air ride, could i just lift the rear end up in the air so it wouldnt rub anymore? Please reply. thanks

yeah man but air ride suspension is $$$$. Not much you can do (imo) other than raise the ride height.
