Im looking for an aftermarket rear lower control arm. I have looked at some sites and they have not been specific. I am not sure if the ones i have looked at are for the front or rear. I have looked at omni and skunk2. If anyone has a clue please help.

Yea... Im having issues with my stock ones. I am pissed with them and im just going to trash them and the strut and spring. Im trying to do my rear suspension and the bolt for the strut to the LCA broke and the bushings are trashed.

the front LCA's connect at 3 diffrent places i belive (2 on the chassis and one on the knuckle) so those would be the rear.....95% sure on this

Those are rear lower control arms(I have the omnipower ones), the fronts are way different looking then those, they have 3 connecting points, but look like a triangle.

yah these are the rear lower control arms, i had a problem with my bolt too when i was going to lower my car so the bolt snapped and the bushing got messed up so i changed mine and now i have Megan racing one and their very good as much as i know

most of the lca helps to correct camber after lowering the rear, they do help the megan racing ones are good and do the job and save cash

Are you sure about correcting camber? I personally have SPC rear lower control arms, and they pull the rear wheels in soo far that your car has maad oversteer, I am also running the SRR camber kit and it is very unstable at speeds over 85-90. And if you get short rear LCAs, you need the toe adjusters as well, which I am also running, also made by SPC. Obviously they know the LCAs have this effect, or they wouldnt make the toe adjusters. If you dont get toe adjusters, your rear wheels point like this "\/" but not that drastically of course , but even at maximum toe in adjustment with the stock alignment adjusting point, its still not enough. Be aware, and also most do those shorter arms so they can run wider rear wheels, for who knows what reason...

that is true sir but the thing is i believe they are for drops more than 2.5" and the wider wheel is true too but is a little crazy, if you need to go bigger than a 215 then get some road slicks, but the megan racing shorties got me straightend out at appx 2.75, didnt have a problem with the alignment or the toe, if i had went any less of a drop i could see it being an issue

I got the Omni LCA's it that picture, w/ a 2.5in drop adn SPC adjustable uper control arms. when i put them on i didnt have a problem w/ my aligment. the car handles very well. go for the omni's

When I put mine on it helped my rear camber a tad, not too much though.

I ended up ordering the omni. I am having to cut some bolts so its taking a while to do the suspension.

How difficult is install on the rear lca's?

3: one at the hub, one at the subframe, one at the shock. The difficulty isn't in removal and installation: it's in attempting to do so without shattering the shithole bolts holding them on. Talk about turning a ten minute job into a ten day job. I've been there . I have D2's on my shitbox, and I got them because I wanted a rear swaybar and didn't have provisions for one.

I ended up with a Suspension Techniques bar which doesn't use the holes in the LCAs, but meh: the D2's are a pretty pinkish/purple and it gets girls to ask a lot of questions

And yes..broken suspension bolts are ******* gay. Having to cut/torch/curse them out isn't fun.

The rears use 3 points plus a sway bar point, as everyone seems keen to point out. The fronts, however, use one on each end, one for the shock, then two for the rear-swung arm. The 92-95 chassis uses a lca like above bolted to a bar in the shape of a quarter circle. Those form the 'A' shape. I'm unsure about the 96+ as well as how the front sway bolts on. I do know that my 90 sedan uses a cast-in tab/hole right on the arm to mount the front sway bar.

I guess I don't get the reason for shortening the arms. 8.5" wide rims alone almost scrape the rear trailing arm when given the right offset to also tuck inside the fender - with stock arms, lowered. And why allow a bar to be the sole item to adjust your alignment, when you should be taking it to the pros?

I have megan ones. I dont think they do anything to the camber, well at least for megan ones. They are significantly lighter than the stock ones. The only reason i got them is because my shock bushings were smashed, plus I have someone I know who works there.
