Rear ITR seats in an EK
Like the title says i have a 98civic coupe anf i ahve a set of ITR seats and i just cant seem to get the back to fit in. THe bottom part fits alright, but its the back piece that just wont fit into the space = Hole too small-seat too big.
I dont know what to do.
So if i cant get them to fit then i will just sell the rear.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

As much as i would love to help you the truth is that they wont fit. I have tried and the only way to get them to fit is use some type or strap. They will not bolt in. The only thing that i havent had the opportunity of trying is to see if 4dr R rear seats would fit in a coupe. I think they would work much better then the usdm R rears. Sorry man but about the only thing you can do is try and jam them biatches in there as best you can.

Re: Rear ITR seats in an EK (slammedcoupe)
someone had mention one of the ways that this will work..taking the apholstry off the type r seats and taking the apholstry off your current back seats and installing the type r apholstry on them..or the other way is to drill the hole on the panels a little biger so the pegs of the type r seat backs would fit

Re: Rear ITR seats in an EK (vtec181)
Looks like that website deals with installation of ITR rear seats into the hatchback. The biggest problem IMO with the seats is the fact that the coupe rear seats are split differently than the hatchback. Seems like the most viable option is to have them reupholstered in a similar style to the ITR seats if that is what you are aiming for. Or try to custom fit the four door ITR rears like previously mentioned. Either way, it looks like alot of hard work and/or money.
