If you want the car to stop better then do the rear discs LAST.

Rear discs alone won't help you car stop any better for ****.

I recommend doing the Integra front brakes forst with either a 1991 Civic EX 4-door master cylinder or a 1994-1995 Integra RS only booster and master cylinder combo.

My fiancee' has a 1992 Civic Si with 4-wheel discs and it doesn't stop nearly as good as my pal's 1993 Dx hatch with GS-R front brakes with RS booster and m/c and stock rear drums.

Oh and for any parts call:

1-800-962-8922

Import Auto Salvage.

Ask for Larry Jr. or Randy. Tell them Tom from Georgia sent you.

They'll have front and rear discs and all of the other Integra brake stuff you'll need if you must go 4-wheel discs.

Don't get me wrong - I have all 4 cornmers of GS-R brakes, but I'd never do rear discs with stock Civic-sized front brakes.

The 1993 DX hatch came with rear discs? I thought it came with rear drums?

Rear discs make it a little more balanced, but they aren't the big braking upgrade that everyone things they are. (found this out after putting rear discs on my ex).

I agree, upgraded fronts should be the first order of business.

My fiancee' has a 1992 Civic Si with 4-wheel discs and it doesn't stop nearly as good as my pal's 1993 Dx hatch with GS-R front brakes with RS booster and m/c and stock rear discs.
Interesting, but to shed a little more light on this, the GSR has larger front calipers than the EX/SI.

I got my rear setup from Import Auto Salvage for $275+shipping. Came with all cables, and prop valve. I didn't need the MC/booster (EX has same ones as SI). Also don't forget to add money for brake fluid, new rear rotors and pads, and possibly SS lines.

Yes. That's exactly my point.

Rear discs with stock-sized Civic fronts aren't worth a **** when compared to Integra front brakes with a bigger m/c and booster even if the car with Teg fronts still has stock drums in the rear.
