Default Really bad shaking between 55-70MPH

My car has recently been experiencing really bad shacking while driving between 55-70.
It is shaking like the lug nuts are loose, but they are ok. As soon as I reach over 70 it seems to go away.

Could it be bad; hub, cv joints, shocks, etc?
It is a really annoying problem, and would like to get fixed as soon as possible. I find it weird that it only happens in a certain range and then goes away at higher speeds.

Bad alignment or balance. Take it to a shop and have them check everything out.

My sisters car just started doing this and she took it to the shop and got her wheels rebalanced and now it's fine.

yea balancing the wheels should do the trick... and wherever you go to balance them ask them to check if the wheels are bent or not because if the shaking is really bad then the balancing isnt really gonna fix it if the wheels are bent you'll just need another set of wheels. but first go for the balance

start with a wheel rebalance, and request to be assure they are doing a DYNAMIC balance, which mean they are balancing on both the x and y axis, most shops that see aftermarket or big wheels just do a static balance which is the balance over the x axis only, and will allow a steering wheel or car shimmy side to side sensation to be felt.

I'll be quite honest - I've balanced tires before, and taken my car other places to get its tires balanced...so I know both sides of the equation.

If you go in there and ask for them to "dynamically balance your tires, they will point and laugh (not sure which one first).

Just get your tires balanced, no need to dynamic anything.

alignments wont make your car shake at any speed. unless you have negative caster but then you have way bigger bent suspension problems.

like said..balance your tires

seems like we tell about 3 people a day that they dont need an alignment because that wont fix your vibration unless something is way off or bent...

just get your **** balanced, should be good...
