Default really bad jerking or cutting off on 98 civic no cels

hey lately for the past few weeks my car has been jerking and wanting to cut off randomly. what i mean by this is when im cruising its start stumbling and ill give it gas and it wont do anything but stumble more for a few seconds and then itll start goin. details, its a 98 honda civic with b20b( obd1 ecu) the tps and map are a few months old, tested them on a lab scope no glitches and read the right voltage. no CELS. any ideas?

Plugs, wires, cap, and rotor -- How old are they? Have you inspected them?

Have you replaced the fuel filter and tested the coil and ICM?

plugs and wires have all been changed out, so has the cap and rotor when i did the swap. i cleaned the terminals on the cap a few days ago, and it didnt do a thing. fuel filter is 4 months old. i have not tested the coil. what do u mean by icm?

forgot to add, it doesnt do it randomly, it does it everyday now and evertime i drive it.

do u by chance know how to test them? and would that be a cause of the problem im having. thanks alot for the help man.

There's a diagram in the FAQs sticky that describes how to test the coil yourself. You need to take your ICM to an auto parts store for testing.
