Rack and Pinion Assembly Help
Just bought a 96 civic dx hb with a b16 swap and type r head, got quite a bit of "play" on my steering because they took out the reservoir pump and all the lines so theres air in the rack causing alot of play, was wondering if i could just order a manual steering rack and use that just want to make sure that everything will bolt up the same.

Re: Rack and Pinion Assembly Help
everything will bolt up just the same for you. either one of those racks you gave links to will fit, i'm not sure of the difference between them though. the electrical connector for the power steering (green plug on the high pressure line) can be left unplugged and will cause you no problems either.

Re: Rack and Pinion Assembly Help
it says its all for manual its just the cheaper way out for me i dont mind not having power steering just want to make sure the manual rack will fit its just too damn squirrely when I'm accelerating quickly its just too much to get a new p/s pump, res all the hoses and rack/tie rod ends is like 850ish around here for all new/reman parts, however another thing it will the p/s pump/res from other honda's/acura's work if i need to go pick and pull.or do i specifically need to find a b16 block to pull from
