quik queston on crank/bearings?
my rod is knocking so im guessing my bearings went out on my y7/y8 mini me.
i just bought some ACL standard bearings to replace them.
my question is do my crank still have to be machined if there is no damage on the crank?

You would need to thoroughly inspect the crankshaft to know if replacement or any machining is required. Procedures for checking crankshaft clearances, diameters and other specs are outlined in the maintenance manual. Some of the more precise tests need to be performed by a shop with the right equipment. More often than not, damage to the crank can't just be repaired so it probably should be replaced if damaged.

You would have to have the journal mic'd. Even if there is no visual damage, you won't be able to tell if it has low spots or an oval/egg shape to it. And then, if there is damage, they'll have to grind it down and micropolish that journal which will then require oversized bearings to match.
