Better to use a manual ecu instead. Ecu has to think its in park to start with an automatic one.

you have to remove two small resistors...

"Remove rp17 and rp18 below the chip, then replace rp18 with a jumper wire"

It will throw codes but it should at least run. Can't speak towards how well.

once you remove the two resistors and solder a jumper wire on the auto ecu, it totally converts it to a manual ecu. you should have no codes... unless you failed to hook up some kind of sensor...

like running a vtec computer on a non-vtec motor... the computer will be looking for that vtec sensor and thus firing off the code...

like i said this guy will be fine if it clips the correct connections.

thank you for the replies guys
reason why i asked is due to my car wouldn't start and i would like to make sure it's not my stock p28 ecu.

anyways the auto one didn't start my car so problem might be, ignition and main relay..i am gonna look into that now.. thank you

by the way, auto ecu won't be a plug and play to a manual car
you will need to bypass 2 or 3 wires in order to get it started

auto computer needs to be converted to manual to work. i never tried just tossing in a auto ecu directly into a 92-95 civic with out the resistor mod.
