Default Quick question about cats

Can I run my car about a week without the cat/ Just my 4-2-1 header? I have a lack of funds, and the cat stopped up is causing my car to back fire to th point its shutting off. Also anyone know any good sites i can get a highflow cat? I want a direct bolt-on not the weld on type and i'm having trouble finding them. thanks

. First I would like to commend you for giving people respiratory problems, especially those who ride in open-air vehicles, as did I one time. Sulfur irritates the throat, felt like asthma I swear. All my friends got it too because someone was running test pipe.

Its not legal, and probably alright to do for maybe a week until you get a cat in the mail or something, but especially in cali and other places with emissions that's just not going to fly.

http://heeltoeauto.com Marcus is the man, he will hook you up with a high flow cat, they are universals so you will have to do a little work but he knows alot and can help you out.

Also, please don't run open cat or test pipe for very long, it's bad for everyone. Just run it till you get the cat from marcus and then go back to being a good person

if your cat is THAT messed up, you can gut it with a chisel and a hammer until you get a new one. just make sure all the loose matter is out of there before you re-install it.
