Default Quick question

Should you soak a new clutch slave cylinder in brake fluid prior to install? I have to reinstall mine this weekend and was thinking of doing this since it squeaks after I installed it. I went to spray some white lithium under the boot but it came off and went inside the other larger transmission boot. So now I have to remove the whole damn thing/bleed the lines again. Also, should I grease the ball joint on the end? Could that be what was squeaking? Thanks in advance, gang.

Is the pivot ball what the slave's ball joint sets inside of? If so can I just use some white lithium spray grease and spray it into the hole the slave cylinder goes into? Thanks for replying. You've been a big help.
