Quick lowering/alignment question
I know it's probably been asked a bunch of times, but I'm ill-informed and searching just gave me contrary answers and couldn't find anything really useful. I'm about to install some Neuspeed sport springs (1.5-1.75" drop, as far as I know) - am I going to need a camber kit if I want to keep wear to a minimum? I know I should have the alignment checked as a matter of procedure, just wondering if the extra step is needed. Does the fact that I'm still using stock wheels matter at all? Thanks

on mines i needed them on the rear ..but you can just get some washers on put them on the upper arm..and i would get an alignment done.

ull get some neg. camber but if ur within 1 percent u should be OK..usually a camber kit is recomend d for drops exceeding 1 3/4" s..a small amount of neg. camber is good for performance

i heard that a pretty safe drop is about 1.5" at the most, and an alignment would be able to correct the camber without a camber kit. but for more serious drops, i would suggest the use of a camber kit.

What you need to worry about is toe. Have your toe set back to 0 after lowering. Also, you can do the washer trick for the rear to reduce the camber. Remember, a Civic is -1 in the rear from the factory, so running a little negative camber is OK. Run that for awhile and rotate your tires regularly. If you start to notice any uneven wear then buy a front camber kit. Hope this helps.
