nope they dont....... 
i have a 99 DX Coupe, and im going to have to buy an external tach this summer when im out of school

NO, just go to a reckyard, you can buy them for like $70, plug and play!!! Make sure you get the same year and check at the bottom for "ns" or no "ns". You have to get the same one to match the plugs!!!

or you can swap your cluster with a same gen Civic LXs cluster which has a tach and the same redline as your DX does. You can use a EX but the redline is higher, just remember to sway your current speedo into the other cluster for correct odmeter readings.

in canada it may be different than in the us, but this is how it works here
