Default Quick cooling question

I have a 94 civic ex and for some reason the cooling fan isnt coming on. I'm pretty sure its not the fan itself, and I really don't think its the relay found in the box with all of the relays in the engine bay (i specified where it was because I don't know if there is more than one).

So... useing a little common sence I figure that there is going to be some type of sensor, a relay, and a fan for that system to work. As stated, I don't think its probable for the fan or relay to be the problem, so where is the sensor???

Is this it?

oh and there is a sensor by the upper radiator hose, is that the sensor that controls the fan?

Are you having problems over heating? If not, I'm guessing it's just not getting hot enough to come up. If you run a 170 dgree thermostat, that's probably the cause.

kk I'm going to swap that with one from an extra engine. I don't think it was the relay becuase when my fan did come on i swaped it with the two relays right beside it and they all worked just fine (the rear defrost and heater blower motor relay). I'll swap it then, thanks for the info.

Yeah I have an overheating problem, if i drive down the highway just fine, but if there is traffic and i have to stop the temp gets pretty damn high and the fan never turns on, and when the traffic starts to move again it drops QUICK.
