Default Coling Fan Problem

Sup techs...im starting to think i have the worst of luck...i fix one thing then something else goes wrong...anyways...i my cooling fan isnt turning on whenever it suppose to...i tested all wires all the way to the relay switch...i even took apart the relay switch and tested by tapping the metal together and the fan works...whats wrong?...is something wired wrong becuase i did an engine swap, but i dont think it would affect how the cooling fan works...it like the cooling fan doesnt know when to turn on...help please

check your fan motor by taking the connector off of the temp sending unit and using a jumper on the connector to make a compete circuit

There's usually a thermo-sensor that tells the fan when to turn on. That sensor usually controls the fan relay.

It sounds like that sensor isn't working or isn't connected.

You can fix it and have a mod by getting a adjustable fan swich. You can get one from autozone, you adjust it to the temputure you want your fan to turn on at.

I did the fan switch thing and it was way easier than trying to figure out the relay mess after motor swap.

yeah it's right on the side og the block and be careful because radiator fluid will come out when you take it out I would just let the engine warm up and check for a positive from the wire that plugs into it if it doesn't send a positive then the sensor is bad.
